Newnham|I picked up this book as research for a project I'm working on, and it is pretty fascinating. How far back the creation of life-approximating automata goes is very interesting. The writing is pretty dry, however, and this is my only real criticism of the book. Wood goes pretty deep into what I would consider minutiae, and, while I can see that|About the Author|Gaby Wood was born in 1971.
